When raindrops make a sound

.
.
Washing through the forest
A symphony prevails
Mother nature's music
Is played against the shale

Each drop sends new vibrations
Throughout a metal roof
Changing pitch and harmonies
Orchestration's so aloof

Sometimes a fast crescendo
From beginning till the end
Sharps against the windowpane
For a little jazzy blend

Often it’s so melancholy
Playing flats upon road
Sultry blues, for some to muse
Its natural metronome

Weather major scale or minor
There’s beauty to be found
If you listen close enough
When raindrops make a sound…
