| ... Under The Blog: Director's Cut, Extra Long NO CAT-VIDEO Edition. On 9/8/09, at noon, pm, midday this blog's odometer clicked over 20,000 views. That's huge, cause I've never had 20,000 anything, ever. Except maybe hairs on my head and that number is in doubt now  20,000 VIEW PARTY-A-THON Firstly, you were all invited to the party, but I failed to mail out the invites, cause stamps cost money. BUT, I wasn't continuously blogging for this time... a 100,000 view blog would also run into the fact that there's an entry limit. I could just leave it dormant for years and years, barely making entries and then get there eventually... but that doesn't count... I intend to defy these obstructions and make this the first ever 100k View WdC Blog... provided the Story Master can confirm that 100k views has never been done before... which it hasn't cause I just invented the notion! I have a plan to get this thing done, and I am a man on a mission, and this is a blog... In fact, I have a palindrome too! Glob a, a man, a plan, a canal, a blog! I'm so poor, I'm crushed under the yoke of social stigmas and the boot-heel of the capitalist, money aristocracy in whose policies classism and fascism are inherent. Waka-waka- wa-awwwww, that's just sad. I'm *yawn* tired. Four straight blue months can take a lot out of a man. Be that man short and sexually insignificant, or a strong, bull of desire and lady-lust such as myself. I realized that in 3 years, my blogging average was just over a hundred blogs a year. So I met my average this summer, and about 10-20 extra. School has started again, been rocking out for two weeks studying International Law. Why think locally when you can conquer globally. My professor spent some time this summer sitting in on the Charles Taylor trial, for those of you in the know. Now, though, I think it's time to pull back on the reins and bring this sick horse to a walk. Summer is over. My summers used to be spent attempting to find the midwestern equivalent to The Endless Summer movies. In high school that was skating, in college it turned in to working, which isn't an endless summer, but an endless cycle of boredom and alienation. This song used to be the theme to a quest that those of us living (er, copying) the 1990's West Coast punk-pop lifestyle were on... finding a "surfer girl". Ten years on, the world, seems to have forgotten the promises made. "Go to college, be what you want to be". Certainly, I am sure, the accountants and lawyers and doctors, those who buy into the system are doing just fine, but what about us with higher ideals? Those of us who thought that there was more to it than a paycheck and Mercedes? I believed that I could change the world, that there was no such thing as art for art's sake, and the world would listen when I talked. Now the facts are clear. There is no counter culture, certainly not in a society where every culture is marketed and sold. There is no individual, we're all just numbered and repeated creations of the homogenized American life. And, as the great Tyler Durden once said, we "are not a beautiful and unique snowflake". And therein lies the title of this blog: your manifesto, or life's ambitions need an adjustment, and/or a remix. How do you create "you" in a world that has everything it needs already and probably four or five of "you"? Ahhhhh, but whatever. Tomorrow... tomorrow I think I will take the day off. But in the lull, I need critiques, comments and suggestions on what you want to see here. Politics bore, a vlog would be narcissistic and I don't think I can pool the talent and resources to make a sort of alt.cult. news type show. So, what's this blog lacking?
