Hmm...one day I'll write a newer introduction. Maybe I should make a static item of all my different introductions. *Laugh*

New Introduction, October 31, 2005
It's time to update this introduction. Since June 2005, I've packed up and moved from Armenia to the US, found a house, waited a month for settlement, moved in, found a preschool for my son, got settled in, and maybe found my sanity. Maybe. I'm just now getting back to writing. Read on for more about me and life in the US.

Original Introduction:
I live in the former Soviet Republic of Armenia nine months out of the year. The rest of the time you can find me living out of a suitcase in the US or on one of our travels somewhere. This journal started out as a description of my life in Armenia, but I've amended it since I've realized that life there is very similar to life everywhere. I don't have a car, clothes dryer, microwave, or dishwasher but I've learned one doesn't really need those things to have a fulfilling life. Some days I'm just estatic over a slow trickle of hot water which can mean the difference between being smelly for another twenty-four hours or being clean.

By the way, DH=dear husband; DS=darling son; MIL=mother-in-law. You get the picture.

*Laugh* I've forgiven myself, so there!

I've dropped out of the DWC though I still may post in the journal. I've lots to write about and lots to work through. I'm redefining who I am and what I want to do and doing some serious self-exploration.

My wonderful friend and sister in law came down to visit this past weekend. Woo hoo! We had a blast. We went on Friday to the Lazy 5 Wild Animal Park. There was a petting zoo, a picnic pavillion, a playground, and a huge drive through park. I got some great pics. I'll post 'em as soon as I can sort them. I took tons and tons. We just hung out Sat until I took her to the airport Sat. afternoon.

Sunday morning we blew off Quaker Meeting and raked up all the leaves instead. I started trimming the Butterfly Bush from Hell. It's about 15 feet tall and takes over that part of the yard. The people who lived here before us never pruned that thing. I'd hate to think how tall it'd be this year if I hadn't cut it back last year. Now that I know more about butterfly bushes, I'll be pruning it WAY back this year. It's pretty but I need my yard!

Ended up taking a 2 hour nap yesterday. I was fuzzy all day afterwards. Then I stayed up late reading/finishing a book. LOL. I hadn't read a book "just for fun" in eons.

SueBear Holy Cow Batman! I got an awardicon!

SueBear ((Kelly)) thanks so much! you made my day. I thought it was all crap, and here's a pretty ribbon telling me otherwise.

kelly1202 I couldn't tear myself away from it. It was very well written and interesting

SueBear my story? or the other stuff?

kelly1202 The whole folder

SueBear I'm going to quote this in my blog so I won't forget when I'm feeling less than charitable about my stuff. Is that OK?

kelly1202 Yes sweetie - Great!

So, here it is:

Since the Daily Writing Challenge has stolen all my words lately, I thought I'd stop in and say hi before getting started on today's entry.

Yes, I signed up for November. We start at 850 words today and keep increasing by 25. That's alot of words!

I also signed up for NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org) but my goal will be 50K words about anything, not including this blog entry. I've several projects to work on, so I'll keep track of them all. My DWC will net me 30K+ words, so it might not be a stretch. The hard thing would be to write 50K words about one topic! Oh my!

I've pulled out the notes/outline I started. Well, I opened the file! *Laugh* I'm afraid to get started!!!!

I started physical therapy for my plantar faciatis. Gotta do exercises to strenghten the muscles and stretch to lenghten the tendons in my foot. It might be as a result of the super bad sprained ankle that I had a few years ago that didn't heal right, on the other foot. My body mechanics might be the issue here, which is why it didn't respond to treatment as well with the podiatrist.

Kiddo had strep last week and had to get a huge shot of antibiotics. Poor thing. He started feeling better almost immediately though. He was Thomas the Tank Engine for Halloween but I don't think I have any pictures! LOL. I'll have to take some after the fact.

If you want to be bored, check out my DWC journal for all the stream of consiousness writing I did about my hunt for what to do next in life. I didn't resolve much! But I am stretched too thin with writing, editing, Tupperware, and parenting. Something has to give. I haven't figured out what yet. Hubby is stressed over money so he'd like me to focus on bringing some in, though he's very supportive of my quest to find myself. That's such a cliche, but it's true right now.

Oh well, more later. Gotta do my DWC.

I haven't been blogging much since I've been participating in the "Invalid Item . Usually if I've not been blogging, that's been an indication that I haven't been writing. In this case, all my words have been going to the DWC. If you're interested in doing it for November, today is the last day to sign up. Don't let the title fool you though, if you don't want to do NaNo, you can sign up for Level 1 or Level 2 (if you've successfully completed Level 1). Since I will have hopefully completed Level 1, I'll be working on Level 2.

I've come up with a structure for my entries which should help me get them done is a more timely fashion. I'll write about it in today's entry! Feel free to check out my DWC journal, it's got a mish mash of writing. Some day to day stuff, some free writing, some rough draft material, etc.

Today is Friday, our rest and relax day. Kiddo can stay in his PJ's and watch TV all day if he chooses. He generally doesn't though. And we go to the park after lunch. Today is rainy and he's recovering from strep (spent yesterday morning in the ped's office-fun) so we'll just hang out. He's been creative and we painted an empty toilet paper roll and an empty salt container. We'll put wax paper on the end of the toilet paper roll and make a kazoo and put beans or rice in the salt container to make a shaker. He's very interested in muscial instruments.

Yikes, I should stop blogging and go do my DWC first! I'd hate to run out of words! *Laugh*

I was at 175 reviews the other day. Then I did like 4 the following day. I go to check my stats today and my number of reviews has gone DOWN again!

Man, that just get's me! *Laugh* If I review you, you aren't allowed to delete that item from your port. Ya hear me???

Getting back on track again. And I'm tired. Got lots of little things done around the house this weekend. Kept up with the DWC. Caught up with my editing for NovelSpot. Asked for help (wth the editing). There's more details in my DWC entry, scroll down a few blog entries for the link. I'm too tired to find it. *Laugh* *Yawn*

And now I'm off to bed.

While sitting outside with kiddo today, instead of writing with my Quick Pad, I decided to get the hedge trimmers out and start on the bushes. Hubby does the grass, I do the rest. I couldn't find the extension cord for the new electric hedge trimmers, so I got out the manual ones. Oy vey! My shoulders hurt! What's tomorrow gonna be like?

This gettng old shit really sucks.
