While cruising the galaxy, I found this planet:
Somewhere over the rainbow and into the blue. Use this line in your Blog entry today. I use to love Judy Garland. Such a tragic life. She went on to become addicted to narcotics and died penniless I hear. St. Augustine said that man was "inwardly focused." How can we, as believers, spur one another toward being outwardly focused? I preach to the people in Chapel all the time about the importance of service. We show our love for others by placiung their needs and desires ahead of our own. We don't keep track of favors. We just do. One of the guys here has a ministry in which he loans money without interest. Another runs errands at no charge. These are all ministries. My ministry is chaplain. Prompt: Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter. Pick your favorite and write a tribute to it. S U M M E R Write a story about an adventure on a shipwrecked island. St. Paul was shipwrecked on Malta. If you go to Malta today they will take you to the beach he landed on. } |

Somewhere over the rainbow and into the blue. Use this line in your Blog entry today. Every time I think of the term "Somewhere over the rainbow..." I think of Judy Garland. I was in love with her as a teen. Of course I did not realize she would have been old enough to have been my mother. I thought Judy had a magnificent voice. I still like reading and watching the Wizard of Oz. |
