We Minus You Equals A Lonely Broken Me  (E)
Heartbreak; felt by losing the one person you thought would never leave, but did.
#2143469 by Raven

The poem begs the question. Have you ever had a broken heart? Tell us about it.

IK fell in love with a woman who had moved in next door to us when I was just 19. She was a 36 year old woman of experience and a master manipulator. Within hours she had me totally wrapped around her finger and within weeks I was head over heals for her. Unfortunately she did not feel the same for me. I found a letter she had written to her boyfriend telling him I meant nothing. She said I was a retarded little fool. I wasn't retarded. I was gullible. I hurt so bad I literally felt like my chest would implode. She ripped my heart out and laughed as I lay dying. I never loved anybody that way again. I was married twice and didn't trust either of them completely. She ripped the trust out of me. Never again.

This image made by Sharmelle's Expressions. Why is it important that we show love to others as well as God?

Humans were created to be herd animals. In fact, we were created to be outwardly focused. We were not created to worry about ourselves. I doubt we were even created with an instinct to eat. We were created to be 100% focused on God and others. The fall ruined all of that and made our focus to be on ourselves.

I'd rather roll back my eyelids and rub my eyeballs with a piece of coarse sand paper than move! The very thought of moving makes my skin crawl. The last two times I moved I left everything behind because it was easier. I despise the whole process. I was glad I made the last move because it changed my life for the better but I still detest moving.

Blog City image small "Prompt: Ray Bradbury advises in Zen in the Art of Writing, “You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.”
If reality is so bad and destructive, which I agree that it can be at times, why are we seeking it under the guise of believability factor in the books we read and the movies we watch? What is your opinion on the matter?"

I no longer try to escape reality. I love reality. I am getting bored with COVID though. The election is also getting old. They're both useless jerks mucking up America.
