 It's So Easy  (18+)
It's so easy being in love with you.

The song says "It's so easy to talk to you
It's so easy to share everything with you"

Besides a spouse, do you have anybody in your life who is easy to talk to? Tell us about them.

I do have somebody in my life who is easy to talk to. His name is Jesus Christ. He never judges me and He accepts me even when I am at my worst. He has seen me when I was a complete monster and He still loved me unconditionally. I know however that using God was not what this blog prompt meant. It was referring to a person with whom we can talk face to face and share our darkest secrets without being judged. I would have to say that person in my life is a priest I know. I am a confirmed Catholic though I do not practice Catholicism. I attend the Salvation Army for church services. However I still occasionally see my priest friend and have the heart to hearts with him. He considers it confession so he is never going to repeat a word of it. He is very loving and accepting. When I am feeling particularly bad about something I did and undoing the damage does not help, I go to him. He helps me reframe it so that I don't beat up on myself to badly. Thank goodness I don't do that often, maybe once a year. The rest of the time I talk to Jesus about it and the devil lets it drop. Satan is an accuser. He likes to make us feel guilty. When Jesus says I am whole I know I am whole. Once in a blue moon though it is nice to have a good friend to hear me out.

This image made by Sharmelle's Expressions. Jesus told Satan not to tempt God. How can we often find ourselves guilty of tempting God today?

This is actually a bit of a loaded prompt. I say that because it applies to many today and COVID-19. My brother is one of those "many". He is always condemning me and calling me a "sheep" because I follow the rules and wear a mask to prevent the spread or slow the spread of COVID-19. He says that he has the blood of Jesus and faith, and that is all the protection he needs. I have tried reasoning with him and telling him that I wear the mask not to prevent myself from contracting COVID-19, but rather to prevent myself from spreading it and other infections to others. He does not understand that one may never show symptoms of being contagious and still spread the illness to others. I don't want to be the cause of some child or somebody with a compromised immune system dying. I tell him that he is tempting God when he tests God that way. God will protect us from almost anything but He expects us to take part in protecting ourselves and others. I always say that God pays my bill but God still expects me to get out of bed and earn my paycheck. Testing God is when we adopt a haphazard, devil-may-care attitude and believe God will protect us when we are being stupid. God protects fools and drunks, but even God does not protect us from consequences.

One of my favorite songs is sang by Carrie Underwood and I am not even a Carrie Underwood fan. Here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnvg0OtupuI and you can also find the video on

. I just love the way she performs this song. The song reminds me that Jesus gave His life to save my soul. Now I don't care if you are Christian or not or whether you believe in Jesus. I do believe in Jesus. Even non-believers will agree that it isn't every day that somebody loves you enough to literally lay down their life and die for you. I believe that is exactly what Jesus did for me. To make it even more incredible, He gave up His position of being God and the second in command of the entire universe just so He could become a human being and die for me. That moves my heart and fills me with admiration, love, and gratitude. This song by Carrie Underwood expresses all of that.

Blog City image small Prompt: "Isaac Asimov says, “The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.”
Is Asimov right? Is society falling behind? What do you think?"

Asimov is correct in a sense. Science nearly doubles it's knowledge every year. Yet many of those scientists believe there is no God. Stephen Hawking made the statement that science can explain the universe without God. Well Dr. Hawking that is wonderful. The question is "Can science create the universe without God? I think not! Science is a growing field and there are a lot of knowledgable, intelligent people in it who can explain how things function. They can save millions of lives with their predictions. However, they are also immature and silly to believe there is no God.
