Falling It’s not the falling that I mind, the sudden launching into space, the mind confused, below, behind the world a blur in careless race. Down is up and up is down, and all is spinning past my eyes - I’ll deal with all this giddy round, but it’s the landing I despise. Old Age Is it really yesterday already? There’s so much I had to say, and now the times are folded over with dreams so long forgotten and memories before us spread. Aloft All this night at the clock tower nocturnal soars the hunter through the dark and secret air silent in its shadowed strike. Onward Captured by the road they took less than they were owed leaving everything behind and no intent upon their minds out to the wide blue yonder the compass set to wander a journey without end their broken lives to mend. Ringing Rocks Park Yes, I sing in a high, clear voice, a song for those in a tap dance, rock music for mallets and hammers, for me and my family are gifted to ring out in sweet harmony, but remember, oh smiting conductors, it’s our faces you pound for the tune, and erosion will do for us soon.
