Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Matthew 6:14-15 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Is there someone that I refuse to forgive? Am I holding onto any grudges or bitterness? Answer: I try to no hold grudges. I try to immediately forgive. I have asked God to reveal to me if there is any unforgiveness in my heart. I do still have some hurts from the past that I sometimes struggle. I try to deal with them as they arise. I tell God that I don't want this feeling of hurt or bitterness or other emotion. I ask him to help me to process it and let it go. This is an area I sometimes struggle with, not so much the forgiveness part but the bitterness part. As of right now, I think I am good though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not one to usually get lost. I have a fairly good sense of direction. I like going exploring new places. I try to remember the way I came. If I can not remember the way I came, then I remember the direction I came from. The only time I didn't know how to get to where I came from is when I didn't pay attention to where I was going. Having said that, sometimes hospital buildings can confuse me if I am not careful. This is mostly because they have so many hallways and twists and turns. Most of the time I can usually find a sign that will point me in the right direction though. Of course, I have never tried a corn maze. 🤷♀️ It would be interesting to see if I could do it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Cousin ITT and found this planet: Chariot to the Heavens (327) He is a good friend of mine. Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Are you taking the time to feel His presence? Do you take time out of your day to just sit quietly? To still your heart and mind and soak up the love of God? Do you take the time to simply relax in your Father's arms? Do you take time to listen for his voice? Answer: Yes, I do. I try to incorporate a few minutes to just listen every night when I pray. What a crazy week already! Brain fog is no fun at all, but it can be funny at times. I mean, sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself instead of cry about it. Monday was just busy. I didn't have the time I needed to work on the Bible study. I was able to get some groceries which is a good thing. However, when I go, you can almost bet the trip will be 3 to 4 hours long. It is exhausting to go grocery shopping. My roommate had a visit from her home health. I had to control the dog during that. I have gotten behind in the kitchen again and I have been working on it all this week so far. Yesterday, I was struggling to concentrate. This is where the brain fog comes in. I am still having some issues today. There have been a few distractions already today. On top of that my leg cramped so hard that it cramped into my hip. Now it hurts to walk on it. I am trying to stay hydrated, so I don't think I am dehydrated. I have drank a lot over the last couple of days. A neighbor suggested my potassium could be a little low. 🤷♀️ I don't know. Maybe? Anyway, I am planning to catch up my blogs this week. I just feel like my head has been in a cloud this week. Maintenance has been in and out of here today to patch a hole they cut in the ceiling in the bathroom to fix a leak. Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Are you actively praying and digging into the Word everyday? Are you actively seeking God? Draw nigh to him and he will draw close to you. (James 4:8) Answer: Yes, I do. Every night before I go to bed, I read a minimum of one chapter per night with study notes. Then I use a prayer journal for prayer. I love God, and enjoy spending time with him. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Is there anything or anyone that you love more than God? Is there something that you don't want to give up, but you know is wrong? Is there an are you struggle with? Do you do everything to God's glory? We have all fallen short of his glory according to Romans 3:23. This is a good thing to examine ourselves for. Is God actually first in our life? I struggle sometimes with this too. We all do. Answer: I strive to put God first and foremost, but I sometimes fail. I try to keep him in my thoughts all the time, but I get distracted. I sometimes think on things I should not. I fall short almost every day, but not intentionally. I always try to confess sin immediately when I am made aware of it. The thoughts and intents and attitudes of my heart take a lot of work, but I am in a better place than I was. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Photographs help remember memories and special moments. For me, taking pictures is therapeutic. It allows me to be creative and gives me a positive outlet. I find taking pictures exhilarating. Take UP Your Cross I ran across an article on the internet that has a list of questions to ask ourselves about our relationship with God. I would like to go through these questions in our blogs. This will help us examine ourselves and make sure our relationship is on target with God. Prompt: Question 1 Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Do I have any unconfessed sin? You don't need to give details on this unless you want to. The Bible does tell us to confess our sins to one another so we can pray for one another. Do you have prayers you don't feel are being answered? Could this be a reason why? Does this verse say anything to you personally? Answer: As far as I know, I don't have any unconfessed sin. May God reveal it to me if I do. I am struggling with a bit of a grumpy mood today as I write this. However, I am ok at the moment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: “It is always easier to learn something than to use what you have learned.” Chaim Potok, The Promise What are your thoughts on the quote? Can you come up with a few examples to illustrate this author’s point? I disagree with this quote. What is the point of learning anything if you are not going to use and apply that knowledge to your life. Those who are always learning and never using the knowledge they learn, lack wisdom and common sense. That is my opinion. Having said that, I have no desire to illustrate the author’s point. Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Do you believe in angels? Have you ever seen one? If you have, write about your experience. What are your thoughts and beliefs about angels? Answer: Yes, I believe in angels. I have seen several over the course of my life. I have been blessed. I have several angel stories. Also it is amazing to see them worship God. It is the purest heartfelt praise I have ever seen. I will tell you about the time an angel saved me from an angry ex-boyfriend. It was just me and him alone. I don't even remember what we were arguing about. I think he was mad because he thought I was cheating when I wasn't if I remember right. Anyway, I had never seen him so angry. He was very tall and muscular. He had the kind of build every girl dreams of. He just lacked the personality to go with it. Anyway, he slammed me against the wall by the throat and was holding me there choking me. I tried to fight back, but he was so much stronger than me. I prayed for God to help me. An angel suddenly appeared and told him to let me go. Suddenly the ex didn't look or feel so big anymore. The angel stood taller and broader with a sword drawn. The ex let me go and ran out of the building to not be seen again for a very long time. The angel disappeared. All I could do was sit down and cry and say my thank you to God. Several years later we accidentally ran into one another again, the ex and I. He had since been married and divorced. We chatted and caught up for a few minutes. He told me he was sorry for what had happened years ago. I told him that I forgave him, and I haven't seen him since. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

about depression. How do you deal with depression? One day at a time. I try to stay in the moment. I will ask myself questions? Am I feeling this emotion right now reasonably? Was it triggered by something that happened recently or in the past? How can I process this emotion quickly and effectively? Is there a lagitament reason I am feeling this way? I usually end up withdrawing away from others because I don't want to take these negative emotions out on them. I pray a lot. I ask God to show me the root cause of it so that I can deal with it appropriately. I ask for his help in general. I am starting to try putting on the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness. I have not been at this long. I will have to give an update on how it goes. I will say this however, it changes my focus from the situation to who God is. In order to praise him, that is what I have to think about. Then I can also consider how the facts of who he is apply to my situation. It certainly does not hurt to praise God. So why not? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tell the story of one of your scars. Hello, I am Scar here. I live on Marvilla’s shoulder. I have been there since the day she was born. She was born by emergency C-section, and the Dr accidentally cut her while trying to get her out of her mothers womb. She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her throat too tight. She was suffocating. She was kicking and fighting so hard for her life, it had made her mother bleed. When they checked for the heartbeat, they discovered that it was weak and the number of beets was low. So they had to get her out and unwrap that cord in order to save her life. Once out, her condition was critical. She was struggling for every breath. Apparently, at some point, she had also gotten some of the fluid in the umbilical sack into her lungs. She ended up being placed on oxygen and had a blood transfusion. About a week later, she was finally breathing on her own and was able to go home with her parents. She will always have me on her shoulder to remind her that life is a gift not to be taken for granted.

We also had a leak in one of the bedroom ceilings. It started last week, Thursday. I had reported the leak early that morning. We had to run a couple of errands and had to leave a couple hours. So apparently the maintenance man came in to look at it while we were gone, and evidently it wasn't leaking right then. However, you could clearly see the brown water rings on the ceiling. And wet towels were on the floor where it had been leaking. The maintenance man told the lady in the office that we didn't have a leak. So I go back and get another work order put in on Friday. Same guy comes back while we were at home and this time, water is dripping. He physically sees the leak. He tells us it is probably from our air conditioning so he will have to call in a specialist. We wait to hear if anyone shows up. Nothing.... I go back to the office and ask them when to expect the specialist because it is still leaking. Then I am told the same guy is going to come take a look at it to see if he can fix it himself. (Three times now, this guy comes to our apartment to check out this leak.) He finally looks at the AC unit. It is fine. The leak isn’t coming from there. He tells us he wants to see the leak again before he cuts into the ceiling. We suggest it could be coming from upstairs but he insist that it isn’t. It doesn’t drip while he is here. He gets a brilliant idea. He will just fix the leak by putting some caulking compound in the hole it is dripping from and spray some sealant over it. There, good as new. Not! It lasted 3 hours tops. Next day, I go back to the office. I am getting quite irritated with this dude by this point. I think to myself that someone asked how stupid can you be and he took it as a challenge. Anyway, I explain to the lady in the office, the leak is still not fixed, and the carpet is getting wet. She had acted like she didn’t even card until I said that. I guess it didn’t matter if any of our stuff was getting ruined. She says she will get him back there the same day. We wait...and wait...and wait....no maintenance man shows up. Next morning, it is all can do to keep my cool and temper in check. I go back to the office and want to know why didn’t anyone come fix the leak. I was told he was called to another property. Ok we only have one maintenance man here, and you are sending him to other properties. Umm, what about this one people? Anyway, I am told he will be back that afternoon. He did show up finally. He decides he has to cut the ceiling to see where it is coming from. Wow! Imagine that. It was coming from upstairs. So he goes upstairs to see what was going on up there. It turns out the neighbor’s AC was leaking. They didn’t report the leak, just ignored it, and as a result it dripped into our apartment. The maintenance man says it was because they had their AC set below 72. So it was freezing, thawing out and re-freezing again. This caused the leak. Next thing you know everyone is getting a text to not run their AC below 72 degrees or they would be added to the AC REPAIR WAITING LIST AND WOULD JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY GOT AROUND TO FIXING IT. (Accidently got on caps lock and I am not retyping that) He is supposed to come back to repair the hole in the ceiling Monday after everything dries out. First of all, what made him think just putting some caulking in the hole was going to keep the ceiling from leaking? The same material was all around it that leaked to begin with. Secondly, we couldn’t go look upstairs to begin with, without cutting a hole in the ceiling? It took him 4 or 5 trips to our apartment to fix it. Then he tells me he is the only AC repair person on property. Oh Lord, Help us all! On a more positive note, I did get approved for sooner care starting July 1st. Health insurance is a huge answer to prayer. Now I can start getting more stuff done quicker. When I had to pay out of pocket it was difficult. Yay! Thank you, God! I also saw the Dr today. I have to eliminate dairy for a week and then gluten to see if a food intolerance is causing my issues. The Dr also thinks I need to increase my antidepressant dosage and get tested for sleep apnea. Over the next couple of months, she will order this and then I will follow up with her. She also said if I get approval for insurance, she will try to get me into a rheumatologist sooner by referring me to a different Dr. A little bit of progress in the right direction was made today. What a relief! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Joshua 1:7-9 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. What is this passage saying to you today? Answer: If you live, breathe, eat, and sleep God's law, then it will cause you to be prosperous and successful. Fear God above all else so you will do and keep his laws. Think about God's laws all the time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are your thoughts? Sometimes you wonder. Lol Why can’t we have a human to begin with? Has it become overly complicated for a human being to warm transfer a customer to the correct department? Oh wait, people might actually think you care about the customer! 🤔 Actually, it is about the almighty dollar. Time is money. It is about getting you on and off the phone as quickly as possible. , a poem about love. What do you think love is? There is a way to play the game of love and win. However, you can lose that game too. Love has a price to pay. Love does hurt at times, but in its purest form, it is completely worth it. Sacrificial, unselfish love is the best kind to give and receive. And yes it can hurt to give love to others especially when it is not returned. Just ask Jesus about that. He paid the ultimate price for love. He suffered a horrible death and died on the cross for our sins so we wouldn’t have to. He did it so we can truly live to the fullest, and have an abundant life. He thought every human soul was worth the price of his love for us even while we were still living in our sin. Praise God for showing us what true love is in his word and by an example and by sending his only begotten son, Jesus, to this earth to die for our sins and to be raised again! Hallelujah! He lives! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do you read horoscopes? Why? Have you thought about writing your own horoscope for fun? I will admit, in early adulthood, I played around with horoscopes. I even ran up phone bills talking to psychics. I have my confidence in Christ.

Today has been a very busy day. 😛 I am tired. At least I got a lot accomplished though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: 1 John 4:17-21 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. This passage says we can know if we are made perfect in God's love by the way we love others. Just about the whole chapter actually talks about this subject. God is love. How do we show his love to others? Is there something you need to work on in this area? Answer: There is something God wants me to get in this passage. Not only did I feel it was supposed to be the prompt today here, but it showed up as my Scripture writing below here. I had no idea. I didn't look at the scripture writing until today. Lol I think theses verses are all about perfect love in Christ. Perfect love causes the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, causes us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, causes us to love others like God loves us, causes us to love God in return, causes us to not be afraid, and causes us to be bold in Christ. I think I see what God was trying to tell me. You see? I have been asking God about helping me to stand up for him and to have boldness when needed. So what he is telling me here, is that because I have his perfect love in me, I have the ability to be bold for him. This makes me think back to the disciple Peter. I remember Christ saying that he had prayed for him and something about when he was converted. I often wondered about this. If Peter had perfect love in him, he would have been bold. Christ saw he was lacking this apparently. This is an interesting thought and insight. Wouldn't you agree? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Observations: Verse 13: We know that we belong to Christ because the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Verse 14- Self explanatory! The Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Verse 15- Only those that confess that Jesus is the Son of God have God dwelling in them. Verse 16- God is love, and everyone that God dwells in will love like him. Verse 17- Perfect love causes us to have boldness in Christ while we face judgement and trials. Verse 18- Love does not produce fear. There is no fear in perfect love. Verse 19- We love God because he loved us first. Verse 20- We can not hate our fellow man and have the love of God in us. Verse 21- If we love God, we must love others also, especially other believers. Application: I think theses verses are all about perfect love in Christ. Perfect love causes the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, causes us to confess that Jesus is the Son of God, causes us to love others like God loves us, causes us to love God in return, causes us to not be afraid, and causes us to be bold in Christ. Prayer: Dear God, Please perfect your love in us so that we may have boldness in you and love others the way you love us. Thank you for revealing your word to us. Write about the greatest gift in your Blog entry today. I goofed and did today's prompt yesterday, so I am doing yesterday’s today. I had a migraine yesterday, and was not thinking completely clearly, apparently. This depends on how you look at it. The greatest gift I can give personally is my love and kindness to others. However, the greatest gift ever given was Jesus Christ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You have an opportunity to distribute an etiquette primer to every passenger on your next commercial flight. What does it say? I don't know that I am the person for this job. I might just keep it short, sweet, and to the point. “Everyone, just be nice!” When adults don't know how to conduct themselves properly, there is an issue with our society. When we grow up, we should know how to act. I should not have to tell you what is appropriate and what is not unless you were raised by wolves, the jungle, or in a zoo. Do you really want me to go there? Lol

Ninja Monkey Poem Challenge: We Are The Ninja Monkeys We are the Ninja Monkeys, lurking all about. We are always getting into mischief no doubt. Watch out! You never know where we will appear. We may challenge everything you hold dear. When we will be seen again, one can only imagine. We may have just taken over your search engine. Sneaky Little critters, we surprise people unaware. We spread lots of happiness, laughter, and good cheer. We may be mischievous, but we have hearts of gold. We keep you laughing so you’ll never get too old. Line count 10 Word Count 94 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Isaiah 40:28-31 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. I would love to hear your thoughts on this passage of Scripture. What does it mean to you? Answer: I love this passage. It reminds us that our real strength comes from the Lord. Even when we are exhausted, worn down, and weak, God can give us more strength to push through our circumstances. In my weakness, God is made strong. All things are possible with God. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Observations: Verse 7- God is love. Therefore, everyone who is of God will radiate his love to others. Verse 8- If God's love doesn't radiate from you, you are not of God. Verse 9- We live through Christ. Verse 10- God loved us first. That is why he sent his son Jesus to save us. Verse 11- We should love others like God loves us. Verse 12- We can not see God. However, we can know his love is perfected in us or not by the way we love others. Application: Love others the way God loves you. Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for loving us and providing a way for our salvation. Thank you for sending your son Jesus to take our place. Help us to love others the way you love us. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gratitude List 1. I think it depends on the day. Some days you do good just to still be living at the end of the day. There are days of grief as well. Although, it is always good to laugh when you can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Your captain was called back to headquarters today. Do you have any specific steps you follow? It depends on what is stressing me out. I may want to just sit and soak in the tub after a long hard day at work. Another day, I may want to go to the park, take a walk, and take pictures of nature with my cell phone. Another time, I will listen to music. It depends on the circumstances and my mood. I might read a book or watch a movie. I might work on a craft project. As a person who gets anxiety, I have had to learn several ways to relax. If one doesn't work, I try another. Sometimes, you just need a nap to reset.

Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. This verse is talking about both physical and spiritual healing. What connection co you think healing and praise have? Do you think healing or praise comes first? Answer: I think it depends on the situation. A lot of times healing comes first. On the other hand, we need to acknowledge God's ability and give him praise before the healing takes place. I think we should praise him both before and after the healing takes place. Even if he doesn't heal, I will still love and follow him. I am going through some health issues right now. I am planning to incorporate some of these verses in my prayers. God is sovereign and has a purpose in everything. Everything works together for my good always, even illnesses. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Bible says a soft answer turns away wrath but previous words stir up anger. It also says Life and death are in the power of the tongue. This is true. Positive and encouraging words build us up. Negative and belittling words bring us down. As far as actions go, sometimes it is the little things that mean a lot. A smile or a simple glass of water or a steadying hand or just help carrying something means a lot to the person who truly needs it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Prompt: I was cruising the galaxy with Buck Rogers and found this planet: BlueDight (2) Read this item:
