Good.

Shows the frustration when someone tries to become 'somebody'.

Also shows how false religions grow.
Everyone gets angry with me when I speak of 'false religions'.
I guess I am like Matt Thompson in that way - I have found my protagonist situation.
Just that I am not tring to be 'somebody', I am just trying to glorify God!

The eternal cycle of life is depicted.
it's too bad you don't talk about another man doing the same things the first man did under the new tree which is feeding off the corpse of the first man.

It seems to be a poem about an absentee father (like so many fathers are today).

Fathers today seem to have no time for their offspring. Talk about a sad situation!

Their living is more sad than their dieing.

Interesting!

I am suprized you don't go into the measurments of how to arive at 'half full or half emty '.
Are there a few more or less moicules, either way, which make it for ever not half anything?

When you go into the 'perfect lady friend', let me clue you in.
There is no such animal.
I have been married for 51 years and if perfection is all that holds marrage together,
we would have been divorced 15 minutes into the marrrage.
(Not that we are bad people - just not perfect!)

Two minor suggestions:

If it were me, I would arrrange the lines into stanzas,
or at least only double space between lines instead of triple space.

There are a few ' i ' which should be capitalized.
I notice many writers don't capitalize the ' i '.
This may be a generation gap thing.

Not much I can add.

A very minor thing - the animals go to caves - - to hide their shame
Interesting concept.
I don''t think animals have any shame - that's what separates human kind from animals.
We have lots of shame and lots to be ashamed about!

In the following line I am not sure if it is a mistake or is intentional. If it intentional, I would put a comma between, like so:
