Whispers, warmth, and the things that could make life glow. |
Christmas has always been a time centered on family and love, and this year has been no different. My daughter and her family are visiting, and in between the laughter and conversations, I’ve spent some quiet moments helping her edit her book. It’s been a special kind of togetherness, sharing creativity as well as time. Tonight, on Christmas Eve, we began our gift exchange. After cooking all day and enjoying a big turkey dinner, we were all happily worn out. Tomorrow will bring another shared meal and more time together, which is truly the best part of the season. One of the most meaningful moments today came when we looked through old photographs of loved ones who are no longer with us to celebrate. We talked about them, laughed over memories, and remembered the really good times we shared. I am deeply thankful for those memories. They remind me how much love continues, even when people are no longer physically present. Our family is spread out now, living in different states, and we don’t get together nearly as often as we once did. I miss those gatherings more than I can say. Times like this make me grateful for every moment we do have together. Merry Christmas, and may your season be filled with love, remembrance, and the comfort of those who matter most. |
