HALLOWEEN IN THE 1950S
HALLOWEEN IN THE FIFTIES

Halloween night we hope the skies are bright
And not a drop of rain in sight
Neighbours have been shopping
Apples oranges and nuts candy bars
The bags are full endless list there's no stopping.

Children dress up in disguise
O my God what a surprise
Come on inside and let's have a glance
Give us a tune or sing and dance

Out about until our bags are filled
By the fire we count our prizes and discuss
our disguises.
Planning next year inside our heads.
Before we snuggle down in our beds.
