I wanna be your love. And I need your love, Babe. And I get discouraged because you treat me like a child.

I heard this song on the radio today and it was from 1979 and I didn't think Prince had his first hit song until 1983. I just remember "1999" and "Purple Rain." I guess I thought those were his first hit songs. Wrong. I knew I had heard this song a long time ago but I wouldn't have guessed it was him. A neat song that is pretty even though some of the words are bad. This is a song about love, not a guy being dirty.

I like this song and I have had ex-boyfriends treat me like a child and you just wanted that person to love you. I wanted to be their love. I am glad I never married any of my ex-boyfriends. Well the one guy was nice but I was meant to be with the guy I married. I am happy about that. I am glad I found this song and I may have it on my Prince's Best Hits CD. I will have to look. Another song I love. I heard this by accident today. It is now on my Playlist of Prince songs.
