Where does inspiration come from?

My problem solving skills are usually of the 'third time's a charm' variety. When I let them, problems tend to resolve themselves.

Take this most recent home improvement project, fitting wallboard around a shower head and roughed in hot/cold water handle. One wrong measurement and holes will be in the wrong place. Costly.

I'm not a plumber. What plumbing gizmo do I leave on, what take off. How big a hole do I make?

This morning, I am grateful for patience. (I think at this point, I'd make that my next kid's first name). After many repeated attempts to find a useful DYI Youtube video, the right one finally popped into view.

I know what what to do. Here's hoping I measure and cut things right the first time. Measuring three times could get costly.

BTW, thanks to hullabaloo22 and S. Serpent for adding their flash fiction to this month's "Frightmare Contest" . Patience paid off. Two good reads.
