The Servants Of The Fire
|Servitor Malcolm woke and after a quick perusal of his surroundings determined two alarming facts A) he was not in his cell aboard the prison monastery the H.H.S Abelard and B) this was not the first time this had happened.
A thought occurred to him that was not his own. "the Fire must be tended to. " with that the voice was gone.
he appeared to be in a long and winding corridor with no branches to right or left. At the end of the hallway was a door with a crude image of a laughing face painted on it.
The door opened as Servitor Malcolm approached.
As he entered the room Servitor Malcolm noticed a bird swoop down and alight on the arm of the chair that occupied the center of the room. The bird looked at him quizzically Servitor Malcolm resisted the temptation to sit in the chair but reminded himself the chair was not meant for him. As he passed the chair the bird gave Servitor Malcolm a long look with his side eye then took off and flew a short distance and perched in the boughs of a potted plant. Then the bird hopped over to a purse the bird gestured to the pouch with its beak. As soon as his finger touched the fabric he found him self falling then he was sitting on his cot in his monks cell. A raven feather and a pouch of coins sat on his bed side table.
