That was cool. I also got Promptly Poetry Challenge done, a new poem about voting for Writer's Cramp tomorrow; answered Question of the day, Got Weekly Goals in, Got a mention for GHA contest with "Written for GHA: Pumpkin surprises" .

I'm up to 15,076 words on my NaNo project. It's starting to cross my eyeballs But by the same token, I've gotten a lot of my recipes in one place now. And it is cool to write out some of the memories that cross my mind. This will be the 2nd Christmas without my sister, Kathy. I wrote a poem for her when I first got here on WdC

No doctor's appointments this week, for a change; although I have 3 next week . I guess with the end of the year coming up, I'm feeling a little nostalgic. Dad just turned 75 on the 2nd, and Mom will be 79 come the 19th of the month. December 12 they will be married 54 years. Long time, nowadays.

I can scarcely believe that this year has flown by. Time really does go faster the older one gets. I'm grateful to be alive, and able to share my heart and mind (what little I have left) on this site. I've gotten to know a few people, and I am having the time of my life here.

On YouTube, I am looking at story writing elements: Character descriptions, story arcs, and plots. Having a good time with it. I've always been drawn to poetry as an outlet, but in 2023, I'm thinking about expanding my wings a little with story telling. I may never be published, but that's ok with me too. Maybe try some children's writing - who knows? Maybe I'll combine poetry and story telling like Dr. Seuss does...LOL

Anyway, I thought I'd drop a line or two and get this written down before it goes flying off somewhere...or scatters around on the floor waiting to trip someone, as marbles are wont to do.
