No Way Out - Week 9

I miss you
deadline
every single time
I’ve tried to keep up
I meant to stay ahead
but these prompts
rattle around instead
and there’s no way out

How many words
still need to be said?
How many weeks are still unread?
I can’t even look until
I get that line out of my head
and there’s no way out

Tomorrow is Sunday
another week gone
If only a poem would
write itself along
Then I could forever forget
and move on
But there’s still no way out
