| It was March a heavy snow fell overnight. The wooden planks moaned and popped as steel nails felt the cold. The old bridge sang of battles long ago horse hooves echoing in its tunnel, soldiers watching souls depart on moist clouds of breath. But it was March and morning brought a glaring sun. It reduced these memories to tears, they fell into the river and drowned.
