April 22 Earth Day

Earth Day

I sometimes wonder
What the future generations
Will think of, our generation?

We all know
That this world of ours
Is a fragile place,

And we all know
That climate change
Is real

Exacerbated by
The relentless terraforming
Of the planet

To accommodate
billions of people.

But, I also think
that humanity
will eventually
be forced to change.

to save the planet
for future generations.

And we will end up
settling up colonies
on the Moon, Mars.

and the Moons of Jupiter
and Saturn
perhaps beyond.

probably long after
I am gone
But perhaps not
If I live another 30 years!

I would love
to walk on the moon
Or on Mars
With my love by my side

Or Mars before I go
The ultimate bucket travel item.
