A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
The Latest DeathBringer Update My brother and I had a couple of extra things we needed to do today before I could continue working on my DeathBringer scriptwriting project. Unfortunately, it took us most of the afternoon to accomplish it. As a result, I only had a few hours to work on this project today. Luckily, I’m still in the setup phase for the first four Episodes of this project. So, only working on it for a few hours today wasn’t a disaster like it usually is when I’m trying to find time to work on one of my projects. I still don’t like doing it this way, though. I started today by finishing up on setting up my spreadsheet for these four episodes. That wasn’t that hard to do. After all, all I needed to do was copy and paste Part One of this spreadsheet four more times. Then all I needed to do was give these four episodes a title. The only other thing I needed to do with these four episodes was to erase the scene associations for the individual Acts. After all, the characters for these episodes are different for each episode of this anthology television series. That’s why it wasn’t too hard to do. After I finished that, all I needed to do was write up a small synopsis for each episode and the three or four characters that episode would have a storyline associated with it. Then I gave those three or four characters a name and the storyline they represented in that episode. Why am I writing about three or four characters for every episode? It’s because I haven’t decided whether there will be three or four characters for each episode. There were four in the Movie Introduction because it was a two-part Movie Introduction for this anthology television series. I could still do that for the individual episode for this television series, but that would leave two characters in the cold each episode. The only way around it is to make all of my episodes for this series two-parters, and I don’t want to do that, but I don’t think that I will. Of course, making them all two-parters has its advantages. It means all of these episodes would be movies instead of television episodes, even though they would still be television episodes, but they would also be movies. I may like that, but selling it to the industry may not like it. With three characters for each episode, it would mean that I would give each character the same number of scenes for each episode. I still don’t know how that will work yet, especially for the twenty-five scenes per Act format that I’m used for my Movie Introduction. That’s the next phase of this setup. First, I need to come up with the Act Breakdowns for the character for each episode. I can do that with both three and four characters for every episode right now. If I decide to go with only three, the fourth character can be eliminated. After all, the fourth character in each episode is the DeathBringers. These characters are already associated with the other three characters. So, eliminating them won’t be a problem. All I need to do is decide which number of characters I will have for these television episodes. |
