A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

No Maybe About It Now

It didn’t take me too long to create a spreadsheet for my last Water Wars format update. That only took me about two hours to create, and it only took me that long because I needed to add which scenes each character represented. Only this time, I didn’t need to do it to verify that each character had the same number of scenes.

I already knew which scene each character had. The three main Characters of Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle each had thirty scenes for every Part or Episode. In the last format, they each had thirty-two scenes. Now they only have thirty, but the two extra scenes don’t matter anymore because they will be given to the secondary characters.

The secondary characters of Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra will now have twenty scenes for every Part or Episode instead of eighteen in the last format. That’s slightly better for them, but it doesn’t hurt Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle. After all, this format makes it even for all six of the main characters of this television series.

Each Act of every Part or Episode is the same, except for which character represents the scene within that Act. I’m also going with the first spreadsheet format instead of the second one because of the repeating scene numbers for the four main Acts in each Part or Episode. They are only separated by one Act instead of two Acts.

I have created all my spreadsheets this way. After all, the first spreadsheet format is for one Character to begin each Part or Episode, and another one to end it. The second spreadsheet format calls for one character to begin and end each Part or Episode. I like that concept better than the first one, except for the separation of the scene numbers.

The only problem with the first one is that the last two scenes’ characters that end Part One of this Movie Introduction are the first two scenes’ characters that start Part Two of this Movie Introduction. That only happens with this Movie Introduction because it’s a two-part Movie Introduction. It doesn’t affect the episodes.

Well, in a way, it also affects the episodes. Each episode will end with the last two scenes’ characters, with the beginning of the following episode. Only it’s different because these episodes are individual episodes with the Movie Introduction being two individual episodes connected to make this a two-part Movie Introduction.

I don’t like this repeating scene numbers with only one scene separating two characters, but it’s better than the second spreadsheet format. After all, within the second spreadsheet format, there is only one Act that separates each character in the four main Acts of these Parts or Episodes, and that’s for all six of the main characters.

That’s why the first spreadsheet format is better than the second one. It’s better to have two characters repeating themselves than all six within two Acts for each character. That’s why I have been using the first spreadsheet format to create the Act breakdowns, Story Outlines, and Scene Outlines for my scenes and paragraphs.
