2 Corinthians 10:4 (NLT)
We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

We are to use the Armor of God and God's resources, not our own resources or wisdom, which could prove to be a trap.

Prayer prompt: Ask God to bless your pastor(s) and strengthen, encourage, and protect them.

Blog prompt: Why do you think Jesus used parables?

Matthew 13:10-12 NLT states:

His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?” He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

He wanted His disciples to learn, and those who were "in tune" with Jesus' teachings. But to those who did not want to learn, it went over their heads.
