A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

It Should Have Been DeathBringers
It Should Have
Been DeathBringers

Yesterday and today, I should have been working on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, but I haven’t been. I have been working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Why have I been working on this project? It’s because I changed the format to match the format I’m using for the DeathBringer scriptwriting project.

I realized Thursday or Friday of last week that I didn’t like the way my Water Wars scriptwriting project was working out. Mainly, I didn’t like that a single main character began and ended each Act in a Part or Episode, and two secondary characters had two characters to start each Part or Episode and two that ended it.

After all, the secondary characters of Reen, Voonc, and Kiirra are the Adults of this television series, and the main characters of Chaad, Suuri, and Hoolle are the Younger-Than-Adults in this television series. I was afraid that making it two to one would be a problem. The Industry would turn the main and secondary characters around.

After all, everyone knows that preteens, or is it tweens now, and teenagers are nothing but troublemakers. Most of them are into drugs, sex, and alcohol. I don’t believe that, and neither does most of the universe, but here on Earth, they do. I may have compromised myself somewhat on my writing, but I won’t in situations like this.

I spent all day early Saturday evening to early Sunday morning working on my old format, trying to either switch these characters from two main characters to one secondary characters that start and end an Act in my Parts or Episodes, or it would be two and two. I tried to do that several different ways, but it didn’t work out.

There was always a slight problem with characters having the same scene number in Acts next to each other. I don’t like that. It’s bad enough that they have an Act between them, but not when they are right next to each other. That’s another compromise that I won’t do. That is why I also went with my first spreadsheet format for this project.

While I was working on this project Saturday evening and Sunday morning at work, I started thinking about my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. That’s when I realized I could fix my problem with writing my twenty-five scenes for every Act instead of the fifteen scenes for my Teaser Act and my Tag Act, and the thirty scenes for my four main Acts.

So, from early Sunday evening to early Monday morning, I started working on this new format. I got most of the setup done during this twelve-hour shift, but I didn’t get it all done. Instead of waiting until next weekend to continue working on this project, I decided to continue working on it instead of my DeathBringers scriptwriting project.

After all, I’m almost finished writing the sentences for the Act Breakdown, Story Outlines, and the Scene Outlines for the first four Episodes of my DeathBringers anthology television series. I have some catching up to do with my Water Wars scriptwriting series. That’s another reason why I’m working on this project this week.
