Solage Poems
Re: Form of the week: Solage
May 25-31, 2025

The "Solage" is a simple three-line verse introduced by poet/teacher Cameron Semmens. Lines 1 and 2 rhyme, and line 3 is a single word which does not rhyme.

A stunning setting—Sol,
Beauty on the fall,
Glow.

A stunning setting sun,
Beauty on the run,
Dusk.

A star pricked sky,
Crisp air, a sigh,
Wonder.

Crystalline structures floating,
Denying gravity—gloating,
Snow.

Liquid thunder—crashing,
Luminous morning flashing,
Dawn.

OKay, okay, It’s fun, but I’ll stop.
