A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Found Another Big Mistake I Can’t Live With It’s the biggest mistake that I think I have ever found in my scriptwriting projects. Now I know why I prefer the first spreadsheet format to the second one. It isn’t that the same main character begins and ends each Part or Episode. I still like that and would prefer to use the second format for that reason, but I can’t. Why can’t I use the second format instead of the first one? It’s because of the way the Act Twos and Act Threes end for Act Two and begin for Act Three. There is only one scene separating the two main characters. That’s worse than two characters separating the end of a Part or Episode from the beginning of the next Part or Episode. The first format isn’t really a problem with the episodes of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. After all, they are individual episodes. It’s the Movie introduction that is now a mini-series that’s the problem, especially now that this is a five-part mini-series. The first format is still the better of the two, even with the extra Parts. The second format made it possible for one main character to begin and end a Part or Episode, and I still like that. Still, it meant that I would be doubling up with all six main characters for this project, with only one Act separating them in the four main Acts of these Parts or Episodes. I could live with that until I found this huge mistake. I can’t live with this huge mistake. It’s bad enough that the Acts only separate the six main characters by an Act, but it’s not with the separating of only one scene for Act Two and Act Three of every Part or Episode. There isn’t any other choice. I have to go back to the first format, but it’s worse than that. It’s the only format I can use now. I’m not sure how this happened. I may have noticed this before, and I forgot about it until now, or this is the first time I have noticed it. Either way, I have noticed it now, and I have no choice but to go back to the only format, aka the first format. It’s not as bad as it sounds, though. It is close to being as bad, though. It shouldn’t be too hard to go back to the first format. After all, the storylines are the same. It’s just the beginnings and ends of each Part or Episode that are different. The duplicating of Acts and scenes is also different, but they have always been different between the first and second formats. Now it’s just the first format. How did I find this huge mistake? Shouldn’t I be working on my DeathBringers project today? After all, it is a Monday. It’s because it’s the beginning of a new month. I should be working on my WDC prompt for this month, but it hasn’t been posted as of the beginning of writing this blog entry. It may be tomorrow before I start working on that Short Story. I could have continued working on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, but I decided to continue working on my Water Wars scriptwriting project instead. It’s a good thing that I did, after all. Who knows when I would have found this huge mistake if I hadn’t continued to work on this project today. I may never have found it. |
