A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Not a Typical Wednesday Unfortunately, I only got eighty-four sentences written today for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. That’s the bad news. The good news is that I got them written in about four hours today. That averages about twenty-one every hour. Twenty-one sentences don’t sound too good, but it is for me. Those twenty-one sentences equals about four paragraphs, and four paragraphs is about average for me. Lately, I have been doing about double, maybe even triple, that in one day in both sentences and paragraphs, but that isn’t me. For me, about four to five paragraphs is average. Why didn’t I get more sentences written today? It’s because this hasn’t been a typical Wednesday for my brother and me. From early this morning until toward the middle of this afternoon, my brother and I have been busy doing one thing after another that needed to be done today. My brother and I have been very busy on Wednesdays lately, but not as busy as it was today. I knew about this morning, and I figured we had a few things we needed to accomplish this afternoon, but I didn’t think it was going to take us about half of this afternoon to get them all done. It’s not all bad news. I did finish the sentences for my Act Breakdown for my four-part mini-series for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. I needed twelve sentences to finish writing my Act Breakdown for Part Three. Another twenty-four sentences ended not only Part Four but also these Act Breakdowns. I also finished writing the Story Outline for Part One of my DeathBringers mini-series, aka forty-eight sentences. Add all these sentences together, and I get eighty-four sentences that I wrote today, or almost seventeen paragraphs. No matter how I look at it, that’s good writing for me. Now I have another big decision to make. Will I continue writing my Story Outlines for the other three Parts of this mini-series, or will I continue working on the Part One sentences for my Scene Outline? It could go either way, but I’m leaning toward finishing Part One first. When I brought up my document for the Part One Story Outline, I also brought up the document for my Part One Scene Outline. After all, I was going to continue working on my Scene Outline after I finished with my Story Outline. I just don’t know if I did that out of habit, or if I had made a decision already. Since I’m ready to start the Part One Scene Outline, but I didn’t do it today, I still have that decision to make about continuing with my Story Outlines or continuing with my Scene Outline like I have been doing for my Water Wars five-part mini-series. This decision could go either way. I guess I will sleep on this decision and make it tomorrow. I’m still leaning toward continuing with the Scene Outlines for Part One of this mini-series, but I could change my mind about that. After all, I have done that a million times already for my Water Wars Scriptwriting project. |
