A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Updating DeathBringers Episodes Today, I have been working on the updates to the first four episodes for my DeathBringers anthology television series. Unfortunately, today has been like the last few days this week regarding how much time I had to work on this updating. Once again, I only had about four hours to work on this DeathBringers scriptwriting project. It may read like I didn’t have enough time to do too much writing, or in this case, updating, but that’s not true today. It’s true, I may have had only about four hours to work on this project today, but I got a lot accomplished in those four hours. I got a lot more accomplished than I thought I was going to get accomplished. Of course, it could have been worse. After all, the addition of the four DeathBringer storylines to these first four episodes could have been a problem, but they weren’t. At least they were for me. All I needed to do was copy the documents from Part One and Part Two of the mini-series into the documents I needed for these episodes. After I copied these five documents for every episode into these episodes, all I needed to do was change the names of these documents to the episodes they represented. That wasn’t as easy as I thought. That’s because I can’t have two titles with the same name. So, I keep the copy extension in the titles until I can delete the original titles. Now came the harder part. I started updating these episodes with the characters and storylines they represent. That meant a lot of erasing. Luckily, I still had the scene numbers these characters and storylines represent, but that’s why I copied Part One and Part Two into these documents so that I could already have these numbers. I could have done it from scratch the old-fashioned way, but that would have taken a lot longer to accomplish. It’s a lot easy to do a lot of erasing and updating character names than it is to do it from scratch. If I were lucky, I would have gotten Episode One, ‘Everyone Should Know,’ done today. I may have gotten started on Episode Two, but I doubt it. If I did get to Episode Two, ‘After the Vexions,’ I would have been lucky if I got the Act Breakdown completed for this episode. Not only because of the limited hours I had to work on these episodes today, but doing them from scratch. I could have maybe gotten started with the sentence Story Outline for Episode Two, but that’s also doubtful. Unfortunately, that’s it for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project for this week. I will try to work on it tomorrow before I return to work and my Water Wars scriptwriting project, but I usually don’t have any time to work on any scriptwriting project before I return to work at six PM WDC time Saturday evening. It can be done, though. |
