Whispering Trees
Whispering Trees
When trees whisper
I voluntarily surrender.
When the leaves rustle
I feel their magical charm.
The serene wind carries
their melodies sweeter
than honey and rose water.
Soft on my ear, bringing calm
to mind, the trees whisper.
The lovely trees, green and fine,
gentle, cool, shady and sublime
bear the gift of love for others and I.
A love that is rare and never to be found
in a world full of greed, fury and sound.
Whispering trees, listen to my sorrowful tales
guide me out of the dark and dangerous,
fill me with courage
to stand up to chaotic change,
to survive disaster and dismay
to live and let live happy and hale.
