Very Busy the Last Couple of Days
Very Busy the
Last Couple of Days

It took me half of my shift early yesterday evening and earlier today, but as it turned out, that’s what happened early Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. After all, I got two hundred and three sentences written during my Saturday evening to Sunday morning shift. Breaking that down, I got a little over a hundred in each half.

So, I got just a little bit under each half of my Saturday evening to Sunday morning shift early yesterday evening to Monday morning. Well, that isn’t exactly true. After all, the first half of my shift on Saturday and Sunday night ends at midnight WDC time. That means I finished these sentences for my Water Wars scriptwriting project on Sunday evening.

I had the second half of my shift to update my movies, ‘The Final Ritual’ and ‘Skinless.’ ‘The Final Ritual’ is the movie that I started updating the second half of my shift early this morning, starting at midnight WDC time. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten too far with this update.

Why didn’t I get more updates with my ‘The Final Ritual’ scriptwriting project? Done during the last half of my shift at work earlier this morning? It’s mostly because of the reason why I’m doing these movie updates. I am making these updates to stretch out these squeezed movies.

What do I mean by ‘squeezed movies?’ It doesn’t mean anything to my ‘Skinless’ movie because I have really started working on this, except for a lengthy synopsis, but it does for my ‘The Final Ritual’ movie. Up until now, this movie has been very one-sided. I have spent more time on the main storyline and not on the background of the six characters.

I have brought out how they live, where they live, but not how they make their living, especially when it comes to Kealor, Pallim, Tylmer, and Corma. True, I did bring up Dinill’s living briefly and Corm’s slightly, but I haven’t done it with Marri. These will be updated with the three or four-part mini-series movie.

Why do I call it a three or four-part mini-series movie? It’s because of my Act Breakdowns and Outlines. I am writing them like a mini-series, but the script will be written like a movie script minus the Act Titles and most of the FADE INs and FADE OUTs. I do this for a couple of reasons.

One reason is that I want to show when these movies should be shown when they come to network and cable stations. It used to be that theatrical movies would be shown on network and cable stations with commercial breaks. This is my way of showing where these commercial breaks should be.

I know that with streaming services nowadays, these movies will be shown as movies, but it’s still true for some streaming services like Frndly. It’s also true for some of the cable stations as well. There will be commercial breaks. They aren’t as bad or lengthy as the networks, but they are still there. That’s why I write my Outlines this way.

Another reason why I’m calling them ‘mini-series movies’ is because that is what they may become. Mini-series are very big nowadays. Almost every network, cable, and streaming service has millions of them. It’s very possible that these movies with be made into a mini-series instead of going to the theaters first before they come to television.

Of course, I want them to be theatrical movies first, but they may not be. That’s another reason why I’m writing my Outlines like this. Just like I can convert these Outline scripts into movie scripts, I can do the same thing for a Mini-series. Only I am more than halfway there already.

I have written a lot in this blog entry about what I have done at work yesterday and today, but I haven’t written about what I have done today regarding my updating of my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. That’s because I don’t have too much to say about it.
