50 STB - Zipping Through Utah!

The Party Bus pulled into Moab, Utah early in the morning and we visited one of the local pastry shops to stock up on donuts, scones, bananas, sandwiches and coffee. Maid of the Mist Most Macabre was a little bummed that there was no 7-11. Her Big Gulp went empty.



We went into town and paid for the ziplining adventure which came with a rugged jeep ride up the red sand hills of Moab. Let me tell, the jeep ride was not for the faint of heart. My butt was sore! Spooky Kooky Krista Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose and AmyJo-Zombie hours went on a hike while the rest of us rode the zipline. Reluctant Halloweenist zipped right along at 30 mph! The rest of us adrenaline junkies followed suit. A Warped Witch I Be made her zipline spin. Heck, I was happy just to make to the other side. Maid of the Mist Most Macabre put a go pro on her helmet and filmed the ride so she could give it to Spooky Kooky Krista to put on her Instagram. WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO sipped water from her Nalgene the entire time she was zipping like zip lining was just another ‘thing.’

After we were done zipping, we caught up with our hikers and had a nice bagged lunch that we bought at the pastry shop. I enjoyed a BLT, while Giant Phantom Jelly had an Avocado, Lettuce tomato. Food tastes better here than it did in South Dakota.

We found a nice spot in Arches National Park and set up camp. Turns out me and Giant Phantom Jelly are amateur astronomy buffs. I brought my astronomy pointer and once it grew dark, me and Giant Phantom Jelly entertained. The moon was a waning gibbous and we could see the Milky Way pretty good, despite the moonlight. The constellations were twinkling and I pointed out the 5 you could see all the time in the Northern hemisphere: Cepheus, Cassiopeia, Draco the Dragon and big and little dipper with my astronomy pointer.



Utah was a pretty state where you could rest, relax and enjoy the vibes, though I gotta admit, Maid of the Mist Most Macabre was kinda crabby without her Big Gulp.
