A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Phase One Completed It took me a little bit longer than I thought it would to finish Phase One of my scriptwriting projects, aka the sentences for my Act Breakdowns, my Story Outlines, and my Scene Outlines. I was hoping it would only take two or three hours, but it took me about three and a half hours before I finished writing them. After I finished writing them, I started working on the paragraph Story Outlines for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I had about eight hours to work on the paragraphs for Part One of the Water Wars mini-series. Unfortunately, I didn’t get very far with it. I only got eight paragraphs written with it. That’s one paragraph every hour. That isn’t good, and I don’t know why. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I did kind of know why. It was a lack of concentration. That isn’t the only reason, though. It’s true, I had a big lack of concentration, but that wasn’t the only reason why I didn’t get more written. Another reason why I didn’t get more paragraphs written is because of Phase One of these projects. It has been a long time since I worked on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Because of that, it took me some time to go over what my Story Outline and Scene Outline represented for this project. What do I mean by ‘represented ’? It means that I used the Phase One Story and Scene Outlines to start working on my paragraph Story Outline for Part One of this mini-series. I used the Phase One Story and Scene Outlines as guides to write the paragraph for this Phase Two Story Outline, and it was more complicated than I thought it was going to be. I knew what I wanted to write for these paragraphs, but I didn’t know how to write them. As a result, I had to write these eight paragraphs several times before I thought that I had them. Unfortunately, it turns out that I didn’t like what I had written with these eight paragraphs. So, I deleted what I had written, but by then it was too late to start working on it again. At first, I thought that I was going to continue working on this project next weekend when I returned to work. I decided it was best to continue working on it today instead of my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. This project will now be done on the weekends instead. Unfortunately, I also only got another eight paragraphs written today. The same eight paragraphs that I got written yesterday evening and early this morning at work. Only this time, I got them written in about two hours. That equals about four paragraphs every hour, and that’s good writing for me. Why did I only have about two hours to work on my scriptwriting projects? It’s because of what my brother and I needed to do today. My brother and I only had a couple of things we needed to accomplish today, but it took us almost the whole day to finish doing them. As a result, I only had about two hours to work on this project today. |
