A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

A Little Better Than the Second Half
A Little Better
Than the Second Half

Early yesterday evening at six PM WDC time to early this morning at six AM WDC has been a little bit better than it has been the last few days that I have worked on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. I got twenty-eight paragraphs during this twelve-hour shift.

I needed twenty-one paragraphs to end the Episode One Story Outline. Not only did I get those twenty-one paragraphs written, but I got the seven Teaser Act paragraphs written for my Episode Two, ‘After the Vexions.’ That’s not all that I did during this twelve-hour shift. I also got started working on my blog entry for today.

Will I get this blog entry finished with only about forty-five minutes to write it? There is only one way to find that out, and that is to continue to work on this blog entry for the next about forty-five minutes. I think I have a very good chance I can do it, but I could be wrong about that.

It wouldn’t be the first time I was wrong about this, and it probably won’t be the last if it happens again. Especially, since I do all my blog entries the freelance way. What does the ‘freelance way’ mean? It means that I let my fingers do my writing. I don’t know what I’m going to write until it happens. That’s just the way I write my blog entries.

My Story and Scene outlines are somewhat the freelance way, but at the same time, they aren’t. After all, I base these paragraphs Story and Scene Outlines off my sentence Story and Scene Outlines, sometimes also my Act Breakdowns. As for my short stories and my scripts, there isn’t a format for them. Well, that isn’t exactly true for my scripts.

There is a format for my scripts, but it’s not based on my paragraph Story and Scene Outlines. They are based on how long each scene is in my scripts. Each scene number has either thirteen lines, fifteen lines, or nineteen lines. The Establishing shots are about five lines long.

The thirteen lines are for the scenes twos, fours, sevens, and eights. At the same time, the fifteen lines are for the scene ones, threes, sixes, and eights. Last but not least, the nineteen lines are for the scenes fives and tens. Overall, every five scenes equals fifteen lines, and each line equals one second. So, every five scenes equals fifteen seconds each.

See what I mean about the ‘freelance way.’ I started writing about how many paragraphs I got written for my Episode One and Episode Two Story Outlines. Then I started writing about how I write my different Act Breakdowns, Outlines, short stories, and my scripts. Anything can happen the ‘freelance way.’

I still have a few minutes before my forty-five minutes are up. So, it looks like I will finish this blog entry before I get out of work today, but I only have a few minutes. It’s still possible I won’t get it done before I get out of work today. I think that I will. After all, I only have one more line to write before I finish this blog entry.
