A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

Thirty-Five Still Left, After All
Thirty-Five
Still Left, After All

Another almost sleepless night. I only got about four hours of sleep last night, if I’m lucky. Why did I only get about four hours of sleep last night? That’s a very good question. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good answer for it. After all, I should have gotten about seven to eight hours last night.

Normally, only getting a few hours of sleep like this isn’t that big of a problem, but it is today because I return to work in a few hours to start my first twelve-hour graveyard shift at work. I won’t be able to get any make-up sleep this evening before I go to sleep tonight.

Of course, I could get some sleep at work, but I’m not going to do that. Some Security Guards might do that, maybe even a lot of them do it, but I’m not one of them. For one reason, it’s a no-no. Another reason, I’m not that kind of a Security Guard. I have never done it, and I never will.

What does that have to do with my writing process? Usually, I have a few hours before I return to work on a Saturday to devote to whatever writing I’m working on at the time, but today I couldn’t do that because of the lack of sleep that I experienced last night. That’s why my writing was affected.

I was hoping that I would get at least another seven paragraphs written for the Episode Four Story Outline for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, aka Act One. My lack of sleep last night prevented me from doing that. Unfortunately, I still have thirty-five paragraphs I need to write for this Story Outline.

Will I get these thirty-five paragraphs written during my first twelve-hour shift this weekend? I think I have a very good chance of doing it now that I have made up for some of my sleep that I didn’t get last night. After all, that’s only about three or four paragraphs an hour.

The number of paragraphs every hour is based on a ten-hour shift. After all, this is a Saturday, and Saturdays can be very busy where I work as a Security Guard. It may be even busier than usual since it’s the last weekend before Christmas. I can’t remember what it was like last year.

It could be that I will only have about eight or nine hours to devote to this project during my first twelve-hour shift this weekend. That should still be plenty of time to write these thirty-five paragraphs to finish this episode of this project. It’s even better than a ten-hour shift.

After all, it will average about four paragraphs every hour instead of three to four paragraphs. I shouldn’t have any problem getting thirty-five paragraphs to officially end this phase of my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, but I’m not going to count on that until it happens.

Whether I can get these thirty-five paragraphs written tonight doesn’t matter if I need to do an update on this episode. It doesn’t look like I will be doing an update on it, though. So, I still have a very good chance of finishing this phase of this project during this twelve-hour shift.
