There is a lot within me Other Than Scriptwriting. This blog is devoted to those stories.

I'm Ready to Start Writing
I’m Ready to Start Writing

I didn’t think that I was going to have a Short Story to write this month for a couple of reasons. One reason is that this month the WDC prompt is ‘Read Me.’ It’s a letter to yourself, not a Short Story. Of course, I have turned it into a Short Story at least once.

Another reason is that this new Short Story prompt didn’t come out until a couple of days ago. Now that I know about this Short Story, I’m going to spend this weekend writing it. At least I hope that I can get it done in the next twenty-four hours of my shift at work this weekend.

I’m ready to start writing this Short Story as soon as I get to work in a few hours from now. I remembered this Short Story almost instantly after seeing this prompt. Unfortunately, I tried and succeeded in finishing up my latest scriptwriting project yesterday. So, I couldn’t get to it until today.

Usually, I have a few hours on a Saturday to work on my writing before I return to work. Luckily, this was one of those Saturdays. Not only did I come up with a title for this Short Story and a Title Description, but I also got the setup for this Short Story completed today.

Now all I have to do is start writing this Short Story, and I’m going to start doing that as soon as I get to work in a few hours. I know that I won’t get it all written tonight during my first twelve-hour shift, but if I can get the first half of it done during this timeframe, I will be happy.

Of course, getting halfway through this Short Story could be a problem. After all, this is a Saturday, and Saturdays can get busy where I work, especially this time of year, aka just after the first of January. I hope that won’t be a problem today or this weekend, but it could be.

Unfortunately, how much work responsibility I have at work isn’t my only reason for not getting at least half of this Short Story written during this first twelve-hour shift at work. It also depends on how I’m feeling while I’m at work. Right now, I feel very well. I hope it will stay that way.

If I can’t get this Short Story finished by the end of this weekend for whatever reason, I will continue working on it on Monday. I don’t really want to finish this starting on Monday, but I will if I have to do it. Hopefully, I can get it written within the next twenty-four hours at work.

The sooner I finish this Short Story, the sooner I can get back to my scriptwriting projects. Of course, I still have to create this Short Story and post it in this contest, but I have almost three more weeks in this month that I can do it. I don’t need to do that right away.

Of course, I could still create and post this Short Story before I return to my scriptwriting projects, especially if I can get it finished during my twenty-four-hour shifts this weekend. I haven’t decided if I’m going to do that or not, but I’m thinking that I will, depending on this weekend.
