A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Unfortunately, Not Better Enough I’m feeling a tiny bit better today. Unfortunately, it’s not that much better when it comes to my ‘Calkin Cove’ Story Outline. I didn’t get any paragraphs written for my ‘Calkin Cove’ Story Outline. Why didn’t I get any paragraphs written for this Story Outline today? That’s a very good question. I know the way I have been feeling today is one of the reasons why I didn’t get any paragraphs written today. It’s not the main reason, though. The main reason I think is because of the amount of sleep I got last night. I only got about four hours of sleep last night because of this cold. No, I wasn’t sleepy all day today, but I was weak and tired most of today. Not tired, sleepy, but tired weak. It got a little bit better after I ate something. I guess the old saying is ‘feed a cold, stave a fever.’ I’m always getting that saying wrong. Of course, I may still be wrong about it. Whether it’s ‘feed a cold, starve a fever’ or the other way around doesn’t really matter right now. What does matter is the number of paragraphs that I didn’t get written today. Hopefully, I will be even better tomorrow so that I can start getting this Story Outline started. I did open up these four documents, and I even looked at the sentence Scene Outline for the first character in this movie. Unfortunately, that’s all I did. Of course, I came up with a paragraph that went along with these four sentences, but I couldn’t bring myself to write it or any other paragraph. Will I get any paragraphs written tomorrow? I hope that I will. After all, I have one hundred and eight paragraphs to write for this Story Outline, aka nine paragraphs for each Act. That’s a lot of writing that I need to do by the end of next week, aka Friday. Will I be able to do that? Right now, it doesn’t look like I will be getting that many paragraphs written by next Friday. That’s almost eighteen paragraphs a day, aka two Acts. That’s not impossible to accomplish. After all, I have been averaging about sixteen paragraphs a day lately. Two more isn’t stretching it too much. Why would I like to get these paragraphs written by Friday? It’s because this Sunday is the first of February. That means at least one Short Story will be written within the next three days. It probably won’t be Sunday, but it could be. That’s why I need to get these paragraphs done by Friday. I know that I will have at least Saturday evening and Sunday morning to finish writing these paragraphs for this Story Outline, but I don’t want to do that. It would be better if I finished it on Friday instead of Saturday. After all, the sooner I get to the next phase of these projects, the better. What is the next phase of these projects? Before I can start working on my paragraph Scene Outlines, I need to do a timeline for these projects. I have already done a few of these projects, but that was before two of them, because a mini-series instead of a two hour Movie Introduction. There are also several movies that I haven’t written a timeline for yet. I need these timelines done before I start writing these paragraph Scene Outlines. After all, these timelines will be part of these Scene Outlines and the scripts associated with them. I would like to start doing them on Saturday. |
