Revelation for today
What are you reading? Would you recommend it? Why or why not?
HI. Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. By Mother Teresa (founder of missionaries of Charity.)
I'm presently reading, 101 answers to questions about the book of Revelation. By Mark Hitchcock.
I'm up to part 4 about 30% read. I like it because the layout of information is specific to each topic. It relates Revelation to the apostle John. The book explains church history about the time the book was written. There is some relevant history about each of the 7 churches.
I borrowed the book from our local library online. Then I looked it up in books for sale on Amazon and found out it could not be purchased there yet, although, it is listed by individuals who sell on Amazon.
Even though I'm not far into the book I would recommend it. Because it reveals church history relevant to the time it was written. Also, because it is very precise and can quote other people who have studied Revelation in-depth.
There is an in-depth look at the symbols used within the book. There are dates about when the churches mentioned in Revelation were active. Hitchcock mentions different views from other authors about questions listed in his book.
In all, so far as I have read, it seems like a well thought out and organized questioning of the entire message formed in the Revelation.
