Well, Brent's birthday was on the 24th. I got him balloons, a portable DVD player, cards, a couple of tulips for him to plant and then I went out to get Chinese. When I returned I found his aunt pulling into the driveway. ![]() Pretty ballsy of her if you ask me. Uncle Mike even asked to stick the dog in the back yard. Like we're going to say no. Needless, to say when they arrived it was obvious they were intruding on our private dinner hour. We were all socialable, but, bless my husband's soul, he didn't ask them to join us for dinner! I was a little surprised he didn't send me out for more Chinese, but proud of him. They got the message PRETTY QUICK they were intruding and after a couple of minutes decided to leave. What did she really expect? After ruining the party Brent WANTED to have, that he'd be happy and thrilled to see her? People like that just frustate me because they don't get it and never will. Today was the start of 3 days off. I did some catch up on my editing, that was about it. I also watched a movie called The 40 year old Virgin OMG - it was a riot! It was one of the funniest movies I've seen since Austin Powers. Kudos to Steve Carroll. He's a gem. I hate to sound so down and negative, but my in-laws have never stopped. They never fail to make me feel lousy. I could on for days about how hypocritical they are but do you really want to hear it? I'm just grateful this lastest bout to stupidity has really opened my husband's eyes. He's still very generous with them, (maybe that's the kind hearted nature that I really love about him) but a least he can't deny how mean they can be anymore. Anyway, aside from my Virgin movie, I haven't had too much excitment. Take care. Steph |
