![]() I'm back from the weekend. It was fun at the beach. Yesterday though I helped my sister take out ALL of her daughters toys to give them out. We had stuff animals (a good 30) bratz, barbies, games, clothes that didn't fit them anymore. I'm telling you we should've had a garage sale. But that would spoil the fun. It is more gratifying to see kids walk away with the loot. On other hand my nieces were sad because they consider their toys collectibles. I try to explain to the girls that a lot of their toys came from a good group of people from different churches that donated toys and clothes to low budget parents like ourselves. Some of them cried anyways, but I told them how nice of them to share so many things with their friends around the neighborhood who lack so much. Last year I gave most of my clothes to the prostitues of northwest 79th street. Majorly because I didn't need them anymore and because I wanted to show them that even though I can't relate to their reasons, I strongly believe in the respect for the human being. For whatever reason I would like to encourage anyone at Writing.com to go look over their house for items that are still good but that you can do without. You don't have to necessarily give it to the Goodwill. It will help just as well if you put them on a table in front of your house and give them away for FREE. You'll see how good it feels when you watch someone walk away with that lamp you couln't place anywhere. Today's question is: " How do you encourage your mother to cut the umbilical cord when she's the one who doesn't want to move out?" I'll check ont the answers tomorrow until then adios! ![]() Z.C. |
