Outburst of magic shot about flashed before their eyes. They had a plan. The friends each took their positions. If they act together this might just work. Dragonfly was standing on a roof top. From his little hands a ball of light pulsed as it grew bigger. He spread his hands outward in an embracing gesture that held the kingdom in an embrace. Then like a wave the ball of light burst out and bathed the skies in a golden glow so fierce they had to close their eyes. He looked down and said "Now!" while his body grew and transformed itself into an enormous Dragon. He schreeched at the now falling bats. For the light had rendered them blind even in the dark night. Seeing this as their only chance, everyone fought the bats with magical outbursts. The fleeing animals tried in vain to enter the castle but flying fairies took hold of their wings and flung them into the air where the Dragon's flame would torched them. Suddenly from the dark clouds a dark figure emerged and swept down on them. "It's Magoosh. Run friends! Save yourselves!" yelled Mr.Owl. The friends ran for the nearby woods and hid among the rocks. Mr.Goat clenched his teeth to stop the chattering. He heard a rustle in the bushes nearby. He held his breath and closed his eyes. When he opened an eye to peek out he lent out the pent up breath in relief. "Blumar! Sugar Plum! How good to see you!" they covered his mouth. They were watching something. "Mr. Goat" whispered Sugar "Magoosh is on to you". "Why me?" akesd the goat "I no longer have the book" "What?!" asked Blumar "Then, where is it?" "I gave it to her highness." His eyes open wide as he stammered "Please don't" The two faeries turned to meet Magoosh's fierce stare. He was standing over them his long dark hair whiping in the wind. His eyes, the only thing light, were an icy, cool, blue. "So she has my book. I will be my pleasure to take it back! She wouldn't have me. Instead she would settle for a mere scoundrel. What could he had given her that I wouldn't best?. Together we could have joined forces and taken over the world!" he yelled his anger made him elevate and in a flash of lighting he flew to the castle, destroying things on his path. She watched what remained of her dear kingdom. Trees were being turned off by the Morfins. The waterfairies cleaned up the rivers and lakes. The rest of the faeries, elves and dwarfs picked debris fromthe roads. She knew the worst was to come. She couldn't risk losing this battle, and so she finished the magical potion that would gain her an ally. Closing her eyes she summoned her powers as she fed him the elixir. She chanted the familiar words. "Shadows opened for the sun Veils are lifted from the source your true virtue should reveal as the person within heals." She opened her eyes to watch the potion works it's magic. It was always a wonder even to herself to see it work even for the hundreth time. His shape shifted and writhed as an anguised cry excame his lips. He came to, laying on his stomach. The cold stone floor was sending shivers up his spine as his eyes opened as if the first time. She was a picture of beauty. Her head cocked to one side. Troubled lines were etched on her eyebrows as her smile spread to cause his heart to lurch. "Lilith?" he said her name and became aware that his words lost the gruff quality he had gotten used to. "You are back now. We have to defend the kingdom and the Magical Book. The Land was nearly destroyed and I can feel he is getting close." He stood up trying to regain the balance of standing on both feet. He peered around to catch his reflection on a looking glass and saw that no longer a young lad he now had the sculpted body of a warrior. His hair once cropped short, was now past his shoulders. He flinched when he noticed he needed to get clothes on. But as always she was ahead of him and had put atop the bed a outfit fit for a king. "Make haste. I'll bring your sword!" she ran from the room He ran to the bed and after several tumbles managed to put everything on. He had just finished putting on his scabbard when he heard a hiss in the air. Turning he jumped to miss a shot of black magic. "SO. You return from the dead, to fight me?" Magoosh was standing near the window. He dark cape alive with the whipping winds " YOU, were never a match for me!" With that he flicked his wrist and send another shot of magic to land an inch from Aureliu's boot. The black smear oozed. "It appears you still can't stand to fight like a man!" he lifted himself in the air and grabbed him by the neck, the force throwing them back agaisn't the wall. "And it appears you won't fight unless your rival is unarmed." the quiet voice took him by surprise. She stood, feet apart, hands holding Calista, the sword of truth. It's magic known to all of Magical Land and even the real world. He wanted the book, the sword and the woman more than anything in the world. He let go of Aurelius and turned to face Lilith. "You are more beautiful than I remember." his voice changing to a soft whisper. "And you are worst than I gave you credit for." she maneured the sword and watched his eyes smirk with mischief "I see you been practicing." he withdrew Namath and laughed as her eyes grew cold with recognition, for Namath was the sword of darkness and ruled all evil. "Leave her out of it. " he ground out the words feeling a strength he didn't feel capable of. He marched right between them and from the corner of his eyes watched the black ball of fire aimed at them. He twisted and caught it between his hands. It burned, but with the burning his strength grew and he trew his head back and laughed. His grin faded as he reared back and threw the ball back at his nemesis. Magoosh barely held on to his sword and instead lurched to attack. "Give me the sword and stand back!" he yelled "If you kill him, Magoosh, I will kill you." she warned as she drifted up to watch from above. "And if you want to live, you will be mine!" Both men-wolf and sorcerer fought in combat as the Queen of the Faeries woved a magical spell above them. She would not let them kill each other. They were enemies but they were also, brothers. |
