For the Poetry Challenge by Ter |
| Feet twitching Stomach roiling Waiting for a motor of a car Trembling hands folded Umoving clock scolded So far, this course is sub-par Someone’s knocking Heart is stopping He extends an invitation to the Bazaar Does Dad say yes? Will he pass the test? The whole ritual is so bizarre Oh, he’s the man, He holds my hand We walk through the fair near and far He springs for dinner And we peek at the winners Then we sat outside under the stars He bid me good night At the stroke of midnight Will he call? Send me sign from the heart. Prompt Subject: First date jitters Word(s) to use: bizarre or bizarrely Word(s) not to use: excite(d, ing, s), nervous(ly), sweat(ed, ing, s, y), kiss(ed, es, ing) Other requirements/restrictions: none |
