Not Alone

woman against the world
standing strong facing a gale
walking into the wind
strength from inside pouring out
and soon breaking

companion behind me
takes my hand
plunging forward
has my back
never letting me feel alone

alone, i thought, but as i reflect
alone is only a perception
tell me you're here
standing next to me
and that you understand

take my hand
and don't leave me
even over distance
just call me
ever unalone
