Inhumane Treatment on Factory Farms
Those who have read Martha Grimes' Dakota, published 12 Feb. 2008, know more than they ever wanted in graphic, stunning, and horrifying detail about the cruel, sadistic, and violently abusive treatment of cattle, hogs, and horses held for eventual slaughter on "factory farms."  Here is a petition involving this unspeakable situation:
