| 11/28/02 Everytime I come here I see more burned-out bulbs behind the faces of many patrons than I see on the Christmas lights that line the top of the stage year-round. Yet I still enjoy the shows put on by bands I've never heard of and everytime I see a friend or two play I catch something I've missed before. It's the unseen jewel in Buffalo's crown. "We're playing Mohawk, " well I'll try to see you up there. Make that the refrain in your next song and it might be your biggest local hit. There's more to love everytime you go back. I see enough graffiti in the bathrooms to make me almost as jealous as I am of the players on the stage and the people I came to see. You may not have it all but if you think you know what it takes, then thinking's not enough until you've played at Mohawk Place. |
