In the Meadow

I love you more than words can say


I miss you almost every day


You are gone but not forgotten


My broken heart feels just rotten


My life now seems so uncertain


You were dad and I your shadow


We all had fun in the meadow





Our family seems so incomplete


You were so special and so sweet


Led our family through thick and thin


On you we could always depend


I think of you again and again


You were dad and I your shadow
