| When these beings returned, I hid and observed them from a safe distance. There appeared to be some unarmed beings dressed in simple robes and some armed beings riding on larger, four legged beings. I decided it was better not to allow these beings to see me, although I determined that I would need to study them. Their weapons, armor, and modes of transportation were primitive. They were also small, perhaps two meters in height, about a two thirds of my height, even without my my armor. They were, perhaps, weaker beings than I was, but I only numbered one person, and my weapons finite in their capacity. Yes, if I faded into obscurity and didn't let them see me, perhaps they would forget about me in time. (128 words) |
