Our Friends

Kittens chasing butterflies
What a sight to see
Sweet and lovely little tykes
As joyful as can bee

Puppies snuggling next to you
Licking you on your nose
No matter what you do
That puppy don’t smell like a rose

Smarty little parrot
Talking up a storm
He will not share it
His food with the dorm

Fuzzy little hamster
Running on a wheel
A pet for a youngster
Will give that kid a thrill.

All these little creatures
That we turn to pets
Were put here by the Creator
To be our friends, you bet!
