Name: Gabe Aaron Forger

Background: Gabe has been in the service of Drakkon since he was 16 years old. He knows of Drakkon’s weaknesses in medicine but is impressed by his mechanical expertise. Gabe is an orphan who worked his way up from a poor young man to being accepted at the prestigious Penn U for mechanical workings. He completed his degree early and hired on with Drakkon full time after his graduation at age 20.

Places lived: The orphanage, his own apt, Drakkon’s household.

Special training: Lab assistant to Drakkon, a highly renowned tinkerer and mechanic
Jobs: Lab Assistant – hopes to one day have his own lab.

Friends: Loner because of his interest in medicine as well as mechanics.

Enemies: Oddly enough, Drakkon, Cornelius Cyrus Baker, and Phineas Hal Drakkon

What people does he most admire: Cornelius Cyrus Baker, Doctors, and Drakkon

Overall outlook on life: Cynical because of his upbringing, doesn’t believe good things can happen to him. A little jealous of Leigh because he tried to get a job as Cornelius’s assistant and was turned down.

Does this character like himself: No, Gabe has a hard time believing he is good enough even when events prove that he is.

What, if anything, would he like to change about his life: He would like to get training under Cornelius in doctoring so he can work on better the doctoring field with mechanical equipment.

Is he lying to himself about something? He is lying to himself that Leigh doesn’t like him. He is also lying to himself that Drakkon appreciates him and his work. He is being used.

How is he viewed by others: He is viewed as a gifted mechanic with a lot of potential and the only reason he didn’t get the job with Cornelius was because Leigh had shown interest in the past and she was already working as his assistant.

Physical appearance: Stands 6’1” and is thin but muscular.

Posture: Stands straight most of the time, if working is always bent over.

What you notice first: The seriousness in his facial expression

Clothing: He wears lab assistant gear, googles, coveralls, lab jacket and apron over plain brown trousers, brown work belt and light green dress shirt most of the time.

How would he describe himself: Hardworking but makes stupid mistakes when reading directions.

Health/disabilities: Overall excellent health, slight cough from time to time from working with mechanics and steam.

Characteristics: Smart, strong, overly self-critical, and naive

Strongest/weakest character traits: Quick to learn, strong young man/naïve and self-critical

How much self-control and self-discipline does he have: Gabe’s self control is very low, he gets angry at himself very easily and blows up, but his self-discipline is strong and he always perserveres.

Fears: Death, loss of job and end up on streets like other fellow orphans.

Political leaning: He’s more toward the Abolistinist side

Collections, talents: He collects googles, and has a talent on the violin that nobody knows about.

What people like best about him: People like his persistence and his ability to get the job done.

Interests and favorites: Music and mechanics, doctoring and his favorite pastime is playing his violin.

Food, drink: He can stomach many different spices and eats hearty meals as his German heritage would expect him to.

Ways to annoy this person: Constantly repeat yourself, and talk down to him. Remind him of his little mistakes over and over again.

Hopes and dreams: Hopes to become a great inventor for doctors’ in the mechanical field.

What’s the worst thing he’s ever done to someone and why: He betrays his own feelings and goes out with someone he doesn’t like because he thinks she won’t choose him.

Greatest success: Completing Penn U and getting Drakkon’s apprentenceship.

Biggest trauma: Being an orphan.

What does he care about most in the world: He hides it well, but he cares the most for people who have some type of disability or handicap.

Does he have a secret: Yes, he’s in love with Leigh.

What does/will he like best about the other main character(s): He will like Leigh’s wit and wellness to learn and her natural ability in the lab.

What does/will he like least about the other main character(s): He will dislike Leigh’s (perceived) haughty attitude and think she thinks she’s too good for him.

If he could do one thing and succeed at it, what would it be: Be a mechanical engineer

Most embarrassing thing that ever happened to him: Blew up the lab at school.

He is the kind of person who: will go out of his way for others, but don’t piss him off.

Why will the reader sympathize with this person right away: Because he doesn’t have the self-confidence that he should and he is the love interest of Leigh.
