Scraps and scribbles from 1960 - 2015 |
I watch as in the darkening light The day comes to a close. But hear the falling of the night When life’s song is transposed. Bare branches rest against the sky In stark lines growing thin, As day turns once more to night, Streaked dark blue sky grows dim. All creatures caught in daylight’s fade Create a raucous noisy din- Oh no! Dark coldness now creeps in; Life’s song is transposed-silence again. tuc 12/28/2015 |
