The 30 DBC blog prompt for February 6, 2017 is "So...uhhh, what do you do during awkward silences?"

I try not to let them go on unless I'm simply bored with where the conversation is going. In that case I may initiate the awkward silence. Usually though, I'm like anybody else. I'm uncomfortable in awkward silences so I try to move on. I want the conversation to move on. I mean after all, God forbid the other person disapprove of me, right? lol

I can always come up with something to discuss. Like any other person I still have a lot of issues I am working on in my life, not the least of which is approval seeking. So I want to always look good. Therefore I have adapted to become incredibly quick on my feet. Awkward silences are incredibly short unless I start them.
