Prophecy

Intense light
silhouettes branches
that reach out like gnarled fingers.

The crone’s face,
briefly illuminated,
breaks into a gapped-tooth smile.

“Satan seeks
the weakest of souls.
Can you resist his offers?”

“For this, I paid you twenty dollars?”
"Of course. I am a prophet center.”
