|OCT 1 Prompt: What are your goals for October?
Personal or professional, big or small...doesn't matter! We want to encourage you!
Wow! Talk about cobwebs! I haven't written in this thing since last June. I know, right? It has been over a year since I have shared my thoughts, dreams, failures, and sparkling personality. But seriously, where has the time gone, and what exactly have I been doing during all this time? More importantly, what do I plan on doing with the next thirty-one days?
First, I have spent most of my free time since last October working on college classes. I decided to go back and earn my degree in Veterinary Technology. When I graduate I will have an Associates Degrees in Veterinary Technology, and after that, I will take the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam). This won't be until April 2020. Until then, I will be taking up to four classes a semester at Medaille College. The classes are designed for students who work full time so we take one class at a time, with each class taking seven weeks. We meet once a week for four hours! Most of the learning we do ourselves during the week with the class mainly being a review and testing. Right now I am not enrolled in a class because I already have credit for it from taking it before. (That is a totally different story).
As for my plans for October, because I am not taking a class right now, I am trying to relax and enjoy the things that are put on the back burner during classes. This includes hanging around Writing.com more than I have been. And what better way to do that then to spend time with my buddies at the 30DBC? I mean who else would I want to waste time with than the likes of Brother Nature and Fivesixer ? I am positive they have missed me as well!
I am also planning on going to the Cohocton Fall Festival with my brother and sister-in-law next Sunday. The next weekend, my cousins in South Dayton will be graced with my presence! Hopefully, my husband and I will get a chance to visit the Red Pandas at the Seneca Park Zoo. They are not as cute as the Giant ones but I may be a bit biased!
My classes start again on the 23rd, but I hope to stick with the blogging right until the end of the month. If you see me missing at least you will know why...feel free to drop a message or two when I disappear. I tend to pop on the site every once and a while and would like to know I am missed...
